Not much is known about the Richland Township District 6 schoolhouse. It is visible on an 1880 map of Madison County (Kingman, 1880) but it appears as though the present structure was built around 1899 (Madison, 2021). It gleaned its common name from the Conner family, on whose land it sat.

In 1923, Raymond Coxton was the teacher at Conner (Richland, 1923), but the school didn’t stay in operation for much longer; it closed sometime prior to 1930 (Richland, 1930).

Today, the District 6: Conner schoolhouse is a dwelling.
